FiveClose: your five, always close
FiveClose is a private circle of up to 5 people that notices when a friend goes quiet. Pick the people you never want to drift apart from, invite them, and log when you talk, message or meet. FiveClose reminds you before a relationship fades, and if you go silent, it asks your circle to check on you. No feed, no followers, no likes.
How it works
- Pick your five from your contacts, by mobile number or by email.
- Invite them with one link. They don't need the app to be in your circle.
- Tap "I'm OK" or log a check-in. Each person has a 7-day timer; when it runs out, your circle is nudged to reach out.
- Optionally share your last-seen location, visible only to people who have each other in their circles.
- Pick a mood and a fun emoji avatar; poke a friend who has you in their circle too.
Invite by email, or by WhatsApp or SMS for people you only have a mobile number for. FiveClose is for ages 13 and up.
For parents and seniors
A simple version shows one page with big text and buttons: a large "I'm OK" button, "How are you today", and your people with Call and Message buttons. Family can set up a parent's phone with a QR code, with no sign-in, and are told first if the parent goes quiet. Turn it on from the welcome page or open fiveclose.com/?mode=senior.
Focus groups
Put phones face-down together, alone or with friends, and stay off them for a set time. Afterwards everyone feeds and strokes the pets in the group's yard. A small reason to meet without screens. Sessions of 25 to 180 minutes; on your own too ("Just me"). How focus groups work · Open FiveClose Focus
For cafés and small businesses: Regulars
Regulars by FiveClose is a QR card on the table. Customers tap "I'm here", and the counter shows who just walked in with their usual order. Owners notice who has stopped coming, say hi on birthdays and milestones, and let customers treat a friend or pay it forward. Free for up to 300 customers. How Regulars works · Open FiveClose Business
FiveClose speaks English, Simplified Chinese, Malay, Tamil, Indonesian, Japanese and Spanish, following your phone's language.
Why it matters
1 in 6 people worldwide are affected by loneliness, and loneliness is linked to about 871,000 deaths a year (WHO, 2025). In Japan, 76,941 people died alone at home in 2025, and 22,222 were found more than a week later (police data). Loneliness starts as relationships quietly fading, long before anyone feels alone.
