For students
Study with friends without your phones getting in the way, and keep the people you care about close after the class chat goes quiet. For ages 13 and up. Free.
Focus with friends
Pick a time, put your phones face-down together and stay off them for anything from 25 minutes to three hours. Each of you starts with an egg that hatches while your phone stays down, and it hatches faster when more of you are focusing at once. Over the weeks your group raises a flock of hens, and a little town grows for every 10 minutes you've focused.
Revising alone? Just me is the same thing as a personal focus timer. Add friends later and it keeps its hens.
A brain race instead of a feed
Make a game group with a few friends and play eight short brain games whenever you like. The group's leaderboard shows who's top this week, this month and of all time. People join only from a friend's link or QR code. There's no chat and nobody you don't know, and on the public leaderboard anyone under 18 shows as a made-up nickname.
Your closest five
A private circle for the friends you don't want to drift away from. Tap I'm OK, pick a mood, poke a friend who has you in their circle too. Each person has a 7-day timer: if someone goes quiet, the circle gets a gentle nudge to check on them. Pick "Not great" on a bad day and your friends are quietly asked to reach out.
Class, club and school trips
- A group circle for your class or club, joined with one QR code. In big groups and for anyone under 18, your name starts hidden from the other joiners until you choose to show it.
- On a school trip, join with your teacher's link and answer the roll call just by opening the app. Afterwards you can keep in touch with other students, but only if you both say yes.
Private from the start
- Location is off unless you turn it on, and even then it's rounded to about 1 km.
- No feed, no followers, no likes and no ads. Nothing to buy in the games.
- Nothing to download from an app store: it runs in your phone's browser and can sit on your home screen.
